Introducing: Trailblazers

A new spin on the VC podcast.

There's a running joke in venture that if you start a fund, you also have to start a podcast.

I’ve been listening to a lot of these podcasts lately. Like, a lot. Ten a week, sometimes more… marathon training will do that to you.

There’s a lot of solid content out there, but somewhere between mile 7 and 11, I always start noticing the similarities between them. The same voices, cycling through the same talking points, breaking news updates that feel more like PR drops than real insights, and conversations that stay safely in highlight-reel territory.

What I couldn’t find was a show that spotlights unconventional successes: the founder who exited and reinvented himself as an author, the big-tech operator who became a full-time creator and now earns even more, the career-long VC who walked away from their old firm to reimagine venture with a bold new fund structure.

So, we made one.

Trailblazers went live this Tuesday. In each episode, I sit down with contrarian tech leaders who’ve found conventional success in unconventional ways. The founders who go deep instead of wide. The operators who take the riskier path. The investors and executives who share what they’re actually wrestling with, not just what they want you to think.

We're doing things a little differently. First, we’re always in person: real humans, having real conversations about the questions that matter. This isn’t about sharing rehearsed talking points, but getting a behind-the-scenes look at the bets they’re making, the struggles they’re navigating and the lessons they’re in the middle of. And sidenote: our sponsors aren't rotating ads; they're companies we actually use and want our founders to use too. (Shoutout to Brex for keeping our finances sane.)

Since launching my fund, I’ve always tried to think about content differently. At this point, owning our own distribution feels essential. And Trailblazers is a natural extension of our thesis. We aren’t doing content for content’s sake. We started it because we wanted the one we couldn’t find.

Our goal is to make Trailblazers the definitive podcast for anyone serious about building a meaningful career, not by following the script, but by breaking it.

Trailblazers dropped on Tuesday, September 9th, and is available to watch or listen to on any of your favorite platforms. If you or someone you know wants to chat about coming on, reach out at contact.trailblazerspod.com. We can’t wait for you to join us on this journey.
